About the Banksia Plant

Banksia is a genus of plants belonging to the Proteaceae family, native to Australia, with approximately 170 species. It is a representative native plant of Australia. It was named after botanist Joseph Banks, who accompanied explorer Captain Cook on his voyage in the 18th century. Its large, distinctive flower spikes are popular as Australian wildflowers in botanical art and floral design worldwide.
