Incense Dammar from the Marco Polo Treasures series by Italy's Fiore D'Oriente. This is one of the world's first handmade incense series to obtain both ECOCERT and ICEA organic certifications, using virgin honey collected in the Himalayan jungle. It features a delicate and transparent scent derived from dammar resin, which means "light" in Malay. Each pack contains 10 sticks.
The Story of Dammar Resin
Dammar is a resin collected from trees of the Dipterocarpaceae family that grow wild in the forests of Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, it has long been used for incense in temples and for daily purification rituals. As its name, meaning "light" in Malay, suggests, it is a fragrance that brings a clear impression to a space. While there is a traditional style of burning the resin over charcoal, this product is designed to allow you to easily enjoy it in an incense stick form.
Fragrance Profile
A delicate fragrance that combines the transparent sweetness of the resin with a hint of refreshing coolness reminiscent of pine resin. It is neither too heavy nor too light, making it suitable for creating a space for meditation or focused activities.
