Eucalyptus is an evergreen tree of the myrtle family, with over 600 species identified worldwide. Native to Australia, it is now cultivated in the Mediterranean region, China, Brazil, and other areas. Among them, "globulus" (Eucalyptus globulus) is the most common and representative species used for essential oil. It is characterized by a sharp, clear, and typical eucalyptus scent, rich in 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol).
