Essential Oil - Copaiba Balsam

A 10mL single essential oil extracted from the resin of Copaiba (Copaifera officinalis) from the Brazilian Amazon rainforest using steam distillation. It has a unique scent profile, combining warm woody notes with a hint of sweetness and balsamic depth. Copaiba and Amazonian Tradition

Copaiba (Copaifera) is a tall legume tree native to the Amazon rainforest in South America, including Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela. It is a large tree that reaches 25-40 meters in height, and golden balsam (a resinous essential oil) gushes out when a hole is made in its trunk. Indigenous Amazonians have cherished this balsam as "the sacred oil of the forest" for centuries. Today, it is recognized as a traditional Brazilian ingredient and is popular among aromatherapists worldwide.

What is "Balsam"?

"Balsam" refers to a semi-solid, fluid natural resin that naturally exudes from tree wounds. Many sacred materials burned in traditional rituals around the world, such as frankincense, myrrh, and benzoin, are balsamic resins. Copaiba is particularly fluid among them and is known as a resin that is easy to distill because it can be collected from the tree almost as a "liquid."

How to Use
