Carrier Oil - Jojoba

100mL carrier oil made from 100% organic Israeli jojoba seed oil (Simmondsia chinensis). Jojoba is one of the most basic carrier oils in the world of aromatherapy and body care, and has been loved as a "base oil" for diluting essential oils, as well as an ingredient for face and body care on its own. It is characterized by excellent moisturizing properties and ease of use, making it a leading carrier oil.

Characteristics of Jojoba Seed Oil

Jojoba oil is extracted from the seeds of an evergreen shrub native to the deserts of the southwestern United States and Mexico. While most vegetable oils are triglycerides (neutral fats of fatty acids), jojoba seed oil has a unique composition called "liquid wax ester," and is said to have a composition similar to human sebum. Its major characteristics are its excellent moisturizing properties, non-greasy texture, and strong resistance to oxidation, making it suitable for long-term storage. It is one of the easiest carrier oils to handle. This product uses organically certified jojoba.

How to Use as a Carrier Oil

Essential oils are highly concentrated active ingredients of plants. They cannot be applied directly to the skin in their undiluted form, and it is standard practice to dilute them with a carrier oil before use. Generally, the guideline is about 1 to 2 drops of essential oil (approximately 1% or less) per 10mL of carrier oil. Combine with your favorite essential oils such as Lavender Highland, Peppermint, and Frankincense Carterii to create your own original skincare oil or massage oil.

How to Use Alone

Due to its ease of use, jojoba seed oil can also be used as is, without adding essential oils. Its excellent moisturizing properties, non-greasy feel, and smooth spread make it suitable for applying a few drops as a finishing touch for facial care, to the ends of hair for hair care, and as a base for hand care and massages. Blending with other carrier oils (e.g., jojoba + almond) is also possible, allowing you to adjust the texture depending on the materials you combine.
