It is one of the most widely popular frankincense varieties, with a woody, warm, resinous aroma layered with a hint of citrusy lightness.

Frankincense as "Luban" (Resin)

Frankincense is a fragrance made from the resin of trees in the Boswellia genus of the Burseraceae family, and it is one of the world's oldest scents, burned in religious ceremonies in ancient Egypt, the Middle East, and Rome. Its name in Japanese, "nyukoh," literally "milk incense," reflects its characteristic white, milky resin. Boswellia carterii is a variety of frankincense from Somalia and Ethiopia, and it is a representative frankincense species with a balanced fresh top note and warm base note. It differs in origin and fragrance from Boswellia sacra (from Oman) and Boswellia serrata (from India).

Fragrance Profile

A profound aroma with a clean, transparent woody-resinous note at its core, a light citrusy opening at the top, and a warm, sweet balsamic lingering at the end. How to Use

1. Aroma Diffuser: Use 1-3 drops. The scent will gently spread throughout your room.
2. Steam Inhalation: Pour hot water into a mug, add 1 drop, and inhale the rising aroma.
3. Body Care: Dilute to 1% or less in a carrier oil like jojoba oil and use as a base oil for skincare.
4. Avoid applying undiluted oil directly to the skin or adding it to hot water without dilution.
