100mL of carrier oil made with 100% organic sweet almond seed oil (Prunus dulcis) from Italy. Almond oil is highly versatile among carrier oils and has long been cherished in the world of aromatherapy, body care, and handmade cosmetics as a highly moisturizing ingredient. This composition meets cosmetic ingredient standards.

Characteristics of Sweet Almond Oil

Almond (Prunus dulcis) is a deciduous small tree of the rose family native to the Mediterranean coast. This product is a basic "sweet almond oil" extracted from organic almond seeds cultivated in Italy's Mediterranean climate. With a fatty acid composition primarily of oleic acid and linoleic acid, it is known as a carrier oil that is readily absorbed by the skin and boasts excellent moisturizing properties. With a good balance of a light feel and moisturizing properties, it is a versatile oil that can be used for everything from face and body care to hair care.

How to Use as a Carrier Oil

Essential oils are highly concentrated active ingredients from plants. They cannot be used directly on the skin and should always be diluted with a carrier oil before use. Generally, the guideline is about 1-2 drops of essential oil (approximately 1% or less) per 10mL of carrier oil. Combine it with your favorite essential oils such as Lavender Maillette, Rose Geranium, or Palo Santo to create your own original skincare or massage oil.

How to Use Alone

Almond oil can also be used on its own without adding essential oils. It is highly moisturizing and can be widely used as a base for facial massages, hand care, décolletage care, and baby massages (family skincare). Due to its light feel, it does not feel heavy on the skin, making it a popular choice as a first carrier oil.

Other Carrier Oils and Essential Oils

We also offer a lineup of carrier oils with different textures and uses: Sesame (heavier texture for deep massage), Jojoba (liquid wax ester similar to sebum), Hemp Seed (rich in essential fatty acids), and Castor (high viscosity for hair care). Blends that leverage the unique characteristics of each are also recommended.

FAQ

I have a nut allergy. Can I use this product?

This product is an oil derived from almonds (tree nuts). If you have a nut allergy, please refrain from using it or consult a doctor and perform a patch test on an inconspicuous area such as the inside of your arm before use.

What is the recommended dilution ratio with essential oil?

Generally, a guideline is 1-2 drops of essential oil per 10mL of carrier oil (approximately 1% concentration or less). Adjust the concentration according to the intended use and skin condition, such as 0.5% or less for facial care and 1-2% for body massage. When using an essential oil for the first time, it is recommended to start with a lower concentration.

Which should I choose, jojoba or almond?

Jojoba seed oil is a liquid wax ester similar to sebum, resistant to oxidation, and has a smooth texture. Almond oil is a plant oil rich in oleic and linoleic acids, prized for its moisturizing properties and versatile texture. If you prioritize versatility and want a basic, "go-to" option, almond oil is recommended. If you're looking for a composition similar to sebum and strong oxidation resistance, jojoba oil is recommended.

Can it be used for baby massages?

Almond oil is a familiar ingredient that blends well with the skin and has been popular for family skincare. However, as this product is a cosmetic raw material (category: miscellaneous goods), please refrain from using it for medical purposes. Always perform a patch test before applying it to your skin.
