Incense Red Myrrh, from the Marco Polo Treasures series by Fiore D'Oriente in Italy. This is one of the world's first handmade incense series to receive both ECOCERT and ICEA organic certifications, using virgin honey collected in the Himalayan jungle. Myrrh (also known as balm) is characterized by its bitter, sweet, and smoky aroma. It is a scent that has been burned in traditional rituals around the world from ancient Egypt to the present day. Each pack contains 10 sticks.

The Story of Myrrh

Myrrh is a resin obtained from trees of the Commiphora genus, which grow wild in the Red Sea coastal regions, Ethiopia, and Somalia. For over 4,000 years, it has been burned as a "sacred resin" in human religions and stories, appearing as sacred oil for the mummification of kings in ancient Egypt, as the goddess Myrrha in Greek mythology, and as a gift to Jesus along with frankincense in the New Testament. It is a scent cherished in many cultures as a symbol of purifying the mind and body.

Fragrance Notes

A unique, deep smoky note where bitterness and sweetness coexist. Its profound and mystical aroma has been popular for meditation, yoga, seasonal rituals, and creating a fresh atmosphere after a thorough year-end cleaning. When burned with frankincense, it creates an even more classic world of noble fragrance.

Ingredients: Himalayan Virgin Honey and Organic Certification

The Marco Polo Treasures series is a line developed by Fiore D'Oriente to revive natural honey incense in accordance with ancient Vedic traditions. Based on virgin honey collected in the natural environment of the Himalayas, artisans hand-blend resins, wood powder, vegetable oils, and herbs. This handmade incense is the first in the world to acquire ECOCERT and ICEA, European organic certifications. No synthetic fragrances or chemical substances are used.

How to Use

  1. Light the coated end of the stick and allow the tip to glow red.
  2. Gently blow out the flame and enjoy the rising smoke.
  3. Place the stick in an incense holder, a non-flammable container filled with sand or ash, or a smudge plate. Each stick burns for approximately 60 to 80 minutes.

Also Recommended: Other Resins and Incense

For those who wish to slowly burn the resin itself, we recommend a combination of Organic Myrrh (resin) and Charcoal Tablets. Also consider Dammar and Black Storax from the same Marco Polo Treasures series.
