Black Storace Incense from the Marco Polo Treasures series by Italy's Fiore D'Oriente. This is one of the world's first handmade incense series to obtain two organic certifications, ECOCERT and ICEA, and it uses virgin honey harvested from the Himalayan jungle. It uses resin from sweetgum (liquidambar styraciflua), which is native to Turkey and South America. This incense has a deep, rich sweetness with a smoky, bark-like aroma. Each pack contains 10 sticks.

The Story of Storace (Sweetgum)

Storace (Styrax) is a resin extracted from the bark of sweetgum trees (liquidambar styraciflua) native to Turkey and the Americas. Its fragrance was used as medicine and incense in ancient Greece and Rome, and as church incense in medieval Europe. It is characterized by a deep sweetness reminiscent of vanilla combined with tree bark, and a subtly smoky texture that adds a sense of richness to any space.

Fragrance Profile

A layered fragrance with rich, vanilla-like sweetness, deep woody notes from tree bark, and a hint of smokiness. It has a warmth that evokes a room with a fireplace on a winter's night. This fragrance is suitable for the year-end and New Year holidays, meditation, and evening relaxation.

Ingredients: Himalayan Virgin Honey and Organic Certification

The Marco Polo Treasures series was developed by Fiore D'Oriente to revive natural honey incense in accordance with ancient Vedic traditions. Based on virgin honey collected from the Himalayas, resins, wood powder, vegetable oils, and herbs are hand-blended by artisans. It is a handmade incense that is the first in the world to obtain European organic certifications from ECOCERT and ICEA. No synthetic fragrances or chemicals are used.

How to Use

  1. Light the coated end of the stick and allow the tip to glow red.
  2. Gently blow out the flame and enjoy the fragrance of the rising smoke.
  3. Place it in an incense holder, an incombustible container filled with sand or ash, or a smudge plate. Each stick burns for approximately 60-80 minutes.

Other Marco Polo Treasures

If you like deep, resinous scents, we also recommend Myrrh or Dammar from the same series. For a different balance, consider Orange Spice or Balsamic.

    FAQ

    How do you light incense?

Place the incense stick in an incense holder and light the tip. Once the flame is stable, gently blow it out and enjoy the rising smoke and fragrance. Please use it on a heat-resistant incense holder (such as a smudge plate). Each stick burns for approximately 60-80 minutes.

What are the material properties of "Black Stories"?

Storax is an aromatic resin derived from trees found along the Mediterranean coast, and it has been used in religious rituals in ancient Rome and the Middle East. It is characterized by its sweet and deep, balsamic fragrance. The Marco Polo Treasures series is the world's first handmade incense to obtain two organic certifications from ECOCERT and ICEA. It is hand-blended from resin, wood powder, vegetable oil, and herbs, with Himalayan virgin honey as its base.

What's the difference between Angel Incense and Chakra Incense?

The Marco Polo Treasures (mp) series is centered on ancient and precious resins and herbal materials themselves. The Angel Incense (ai) series is based on the archetypes of archangels, and the Chakra Incense (cc) series is themed on chakra traditions. All of them are honey-scented by Fiore D'Oriente and share the same quality standards.

How should it be stored, and what are the precautions?

Store in a cool place, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity. After opening, transfer to an airtight container such as a zip-lock bag to preserve the fragrance for longer. Do not leave unattended while burning, and ensure adequate ventilation during use.
