Essential Oil - Lavandin Grosso

This 10ml single essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from French Lavandin Grosso. A natural hybrid of True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia), it is characterized by a fresh aroma that is sharper and more herbaceous than lavender.

"Lavandin" as a Lavender

Lavandin is a variety that naturally hybridized between True Lavender and Spike Lavender in low-altitude areas. Among them, "Grosso" is a representative variety selected in 1972 by French grower Pierre Grosso, and it accounts for most of the world's lavender production, mainly in the Provence region of France. It is one of the most widely used lavender materials in the world of perfumes, cosmetics, detergents, and air fresheners.

Difference from True Lavender

Even though they are both lavenders, it's interesting to differentiate their uses based on purpose and mood. How to Use
