Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) is an evergreen tree of the Annonaceae family that grows wild in tropical regions such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Madagascar, and the Comoros Islands. "Ylang Ylang" is said to mean "flower of flowers" in Tagalog, and in its native land, it has long been cherished as a symbol of love and blessing, so much so that there was a custom of scattering its petals on wedding beds. Ylang Ylang from Madagascar is known for its superior fragrance and is favored by perfumers worldwide.

Ylang Ylang is divided into five grades depending on the distillation time: "Extra," "First," "Second," "Third," and "Complete," each with different fragrance characteristics. The components that emerge first are the most floral, and the longer the distillation, the more woody components appear. As a perfume ingredient, "Extra" is the most prized, and it has been used differently depending on the purpose and desired finish.

How to Use

1. In an aroma diffuser or for aromatic bathing, for your living room, bedroom, or a special evening. 1-2 drops is a guideline (start with less as the scent is strong).
2. Aroma Bath: Mix with a carrier oil or natural emulsifier before adding to bath water.
3. Massage Oil: Dilute to 0.5-1% with a carrier oil before use.
