This BBQ Herb Salt is a collaboration between Kosmic Alchemy and Naeme, a farm in Kamogawa, Chiba. It's a versatile seasoning made with Himalayan pink salt as a base, blended with seven fresh herbs organically grown by Naeme: Vana Tulsi, Tulsi (Holy Basil), Lemongrass, Rosemary, Sweet Marjoram, Thyme, and Cherry Sage, creating a richly flavored condiment.

Joint Production with Naeme

Naeme is a farm in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture, that cultivates herbs and rare plants. They practice natural farming and ecosystem agriculture, and their herbs, grown with meticulous care for their environment, are known for their exceptional aroma and flavor. The collaboration with Kosmic Alchemy was born from their shared theme of "connecting aroma and food." It's an endeavor to bring Vana Tulsi and Tulsi (Holy Basil), traditional Ayurvedic herbs, to Japanese dining tables.

Blend of Himalayan Rock Salt and Herbs

The base is pink Himalayan rock salt, sourced from the Salt Range in Pakistan. This edible salt contains minerals such as iron, and is characterized by its mellow saltiness. Layered with this are the spicy and sweet herbal notes of two types of Holy Basil (Vana Tulsi and Tulsi), the soft citrus of lemongrass, the classic herbal notes of rosemary and thyme, the delicacy of sweet marjoram, and the fresh vibrancy of cherry sage.

Naeme is a farm in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, that cultivates herbs and rare plants. We are committed to practicing natural and ecological farming methods, and the herbs we grow are renowned for their rich fragrance. Our collaborative products with Kosmic Alchemy were born from the theme of "connecting aroma and food."

What is the difference between Vana Tulasi and Tulasi?

Both are holy basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum) native to India, but Vana Tulsi is a wild variety (vana=forest) with a more robust spiciness. Tulsi is a cultivated variety of holy basil. This product combines both.

How much can be used at one time?

For grilling or sautéing, use approximately 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per 100g of ingredients. Adjust the amount to your preferred flavor. Since the herb flavor is strong, it's recommended to start with a small amount.

Are there other dishes I can use this for besides pasta?

It can be widely used for grilled meat, fish, stir-fried vegetables, salad dressings, cream cheese dips, egg dishes, and as a finishing touch for soups. Its aroma is especially enhanced when combined with olive oil.
